German team the leaders of the medal ranking lists during the European Athletics U23 Championships, claiming 18 medals, including 4 gold. Second place goes to Britain and Poland ex aequo. 

4 gold, 6 silver, and 8 bronze - in total 18 medals collected by the German team. The champions became:  Claudine Vita - discus throw, Konstanze Klosterhalfen and Marius Probst 1500 m and sprint and Roger Gurski, Kai Kollmann, Philipp Trutenat, and Daniel Hoffmann in  the relay.

Polish and British teams followed suit, and duelling till the last minute, eventually placed second ex aequo.  On Sunday both teams took the medals in the relay, additionally Marcelina Witek, Poland claimed  bronze in the javelin throw and in the end they got even: 3 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze medals per team.

 In total athletes from 30 teams (out of 47) claimed medals and 24 teams could boast at least one champion!
